Introduction
Some users may experience missing a camera from their camera list or a shared layout. This most often occurs when a camera is newly added to the VCS, or a new user is created.
Solution to the Issue
- If the changes that have been made are recent, select the drop down at the top left of the window titled “File”, and select the “Sync Client”. If the problem is not related to permissions, this should update your cameras list and layouts.
- If you are not an administrator, contact your System Administrator, as this next step requires access to the Admin Panel of the VCS
- System Administrators:
- Open Admin Panel of the VCS and select the “Users” tab at the top.
- In the menu to the left of the screen, select the user who is seeing issues.
- On the right hand side of the screen in the cameras list, find the camera in question. Select the check box next to the camera to enable it for the user selected.
